Château de Jonquières stands in the middle of Mediterranean garrigue scrubland, near Narbonne (ancient capital of the Gallo-Roman province). Formerly a Cistercian granary belonging to the Abbey of Fontfroide, Château de Jonquières is set in an idyllic location: a countryside of natural gorges and hills, a land of contrasts with terrain carved out by the wind. This wine displays a superb, lively rose petal pink hue, and is fine and delicate on the nose with an array of red berry aromas which come through again and again on the palate. Fresh and elegant, it reveals a smooth, well-balanced finish. Pair this beauty with seafood, veal, grill chicken and veggies.
